First Day of School/Playground News

Posted September 5th, 2010 by PTA

Please remember to come to the cafeteria after drop-off on Tuesday, September 7th for the PTA Coffee. Once your child’s teacher comes out to escort the class into their classroom, walk outside the building to the cafeteria entrance (near parking lot) to enter. Teachers want to give their full attention to students on that first morning, so we ask that you do not walk into your child’s classroom and try not to walk through the hallways of school so that teachers and students can start their day free of interruption.

Once in the cafeteria, you can meet other parents, join the PTA ($12 per person), sign up to be class parents, or purchase car magnets, rainbow posters from 2009-2010, or t-shirts. New Clinton t-shirts are in the works, but we are selling the remaining supply of existing t- shirts for $5 each. Students wear the t-shirts (or red, our school color) on School Pride Day which is the first Friday of every month.

We are also delighted to announce that work has started on the new addition to the playground that the PTA purchased during the summer.
It is not quite ready for use, as a few pieces of it need to be moved to another location, so you will see that part of it is taped off with caution tape. Our PTA is working with the school district and the playground company to complete the installation as quickly as possible.

We want to send out a special welcome to our new families. Clinton School is a warm and inviting school and we have no doubt that you will feel part of our family very quickly. Please feel free to contact any of the PTA Executive Board members if you have questions. You can find all contact information in the contact section of our website (www.clintonelementary.org).

Enjoy the last couple of days of summer! We’ll see you on Tuesday.
