Board of Education: March Meeting Date Changes

The Board of Education is changing the date of the March Board of Education meeting from March 15 to March 22. This is due to the recent date change for the Governor’s State Budget Message and the announcement of State Aid Notices.

State of the District Address

The community is invited to attend a Special Public Meeting on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Library at Columbia High School, 17 Parker Avenue, Maplewood, NJ.  The Superintendent, Brian Osborne, will present the State of the District address.

Re-takes are Friday, December 4, 2009IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR CHILD’S PORTRAIT PLEASE RETURN THE ENTIRE PACKAGE TO HIS/HER TEACHER.  

Class photos do not need to be returned

IF YOUR CHILD WAS ABSENT FOR THE FIRST PICTURE DAY, PLEASE SEND IN THE ORDER FORM WITH PAYMENT.  ADDITIONAL FORMS CAN BE FOUND OUTSIDE THE MAIN OFFICE.

STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED A RETAKE IF THE ORIGINAL PACKAGE IS NOT RETURNED.

Half days and conferences

This Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday are 1/2 days. The school hours are: 8:00 am to 12:05 pm. No lunch will be served.

Create and get physically active like our students do as you sing, draw, climb rock walls, immerse yourself in the Spanish language, and take a journey with a great book. Visit with our related arts specialists and get a feel for how the arts, world languages, physical education and media and technology enhance the physical well being and creativity of our students.
K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 parents will rotate through each specialty to experience the related arts through the eyes of their children.
Please join us for this very informative and highly interactive evening.
