Helping to Pack Up Book Fair / Back to School Reminder

Posted September 26th, 2011 by PTA

1. BOOK FAIR PACK-UP HELP: On Wednesday, September 28th, we will be packing up our Fall Book Fair. We need volunteers to help us get the books off the shelves and back into boxes. If you can stop in the gym after morning drop-off, even for 30-60 minutes, that would be a tremendous help.

2. BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT REMINDER:
Back to School Night is tonight, Monday, September 26, 2011.
Below is the schedule for the evening:

6:30 – 6:45  kindergarten, first, second grade, and multiage (Griffin), parents and K-5 teachers will meet in the auditorium.

6:45 – 7:30  kindergarten, first, second grade, and multiage (Griffin), parents and teachers will go to grade level presentations and/or classrooms for an overview of your child’s school year. We will let you know where to go that evening.

If you have time before or after meeting with your child’s teacher(s), please visit our amazing Book Fair which will be open from 5:30 – 9:00pm. There is an incredible selection of books, games, and activities for children and adults.

7:30 – 7:45  third, fourth, fifth grade, and multiage (Antunes), parents and K-5 teachers will meet in the auditorium.

7:45 – 8:30  third, fourth, fifth grade, and multiage (Antunes), parents and teachers will go to grade level presentations and/or classrooms for an overview of your child’s school year.

Unfortunately this year we do not have available space for children to attend so there will be no childcare. Please plan accordingly. Thank you.

At the end of the presentations we ask you to sign up for a November and March parent/teacher conference. We are including March conferences since we will not see everyone as a group again. Even though March is a few months off, we are hoping to get as many parents/guardians signed up as possible. We understand that things may change but the teachers will work with you should you need to change the date/time.

Proctoring Help Needed for After School Enrichment

Posted April 15th, 2011 by PTA

Our wildly popular After School Enrichment Program serves approximately 160 children per session. The program, which is organized and run by the Clinton PTA, can use a few extra proctoring hands for the spring session (which runs on Thursdays, from 2:35 to
3:45 pm until May 26th).

If you are free to help for one, or two, or even three Thursdays please let us know. Proctors help kindergartners through the attendance process, keep order in the gym during attendance taking, make sure all the students get to where they need to be, check in on classes to see if any assistance is needed, and make sure that every child is safely picked up by parents/guardians.

Our students love Enrichment so watching it in action is also a fun and rewarding experience.

If you are able to devote some time to help proctor, please contact Jenny Tate jenniferlynnetate@yahoo.com

Your help is greatly appreciated.

extra groceries and supplies and is stocked by parent and teacher

We can use pasta, beans, sauces, shelf milk (NOT condensed or powdered), cereal, breakfast bars, fruit cups, tuna, peanut butter and jelly, crackers, soups, rice, etc. Also,
toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toiletries are welcome as well.

Please bring items to the main office or leave in the box outside Ms.
