The SOM School District, in conjunction with the Adult School, proudly announces the first district wide Suzuki Violin Program. Students in grades K-3 are eligible for this exciting new program, which runs between Jan 10-June 12.
Registration forms will be going home in backpacks or you can click here to download program information. Instrument rental information can be found here . A completed registration form and payment are due back by December 23rd and scholarships are available. The Parenting Center and the Elementary School PTAs are hosting a Town Hall Meeting with Superintendent Brian Osborne
on Tuesday, November 16th, at 7:30 pm, at Seth Boyden School (274 Boyden Ave., Maplewood)
Mr. Osborne will discuss his vision for South Orange and Maplewood elementary schools and will answer questions in a Town Hall format.
Admission is free.

You are cordially invited to an Open House Showcase of the newly renovated Columbia High School Television Studio located on 17 West Parker Avenue, Maplewood, September 21, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a perfect opportunity to learn what the Television Arts Program has to offer our students, explore opportunities to become part of the
SOMAtv experience, and enjoy watching the Studio in action.
The Columbia High School Television Studio houses the nationally recognized Television Arts Program, where students learn all aspects of broadcasting for the Columbia Cable Network (CCN). The Studio is also home to SOMAtv, the community access television network, which offers a wide variety of programming managed by community volunteers.
