Come visit our new and improved Book Fair, now located in the Gym! There is an expanded selection of titles from several publishers, calendars, gifts, and more. Get a free tote bag with a $50+ purchase, while supplies last.

22 Sept, Thur 8-10am, 2-3:30pm
23 Sept, Fri 8-10am, 2-3:30pm
26 Sept, Mon 8-1pm, 5:50-8:30pm *Open for Back to School Night*
27 Sept, Tue 8-10am, 2-3:30pm

It’s time for our fall Scholastic Book Fair!

The Book Fair will be open from Monday through Thursday and will also be open during BOTH Back to School Nights (Tues and Wed, September 28th & 29th). The exact weekday hours are at the bottom of this email.

Your child will visit the book fair with her/his class and will have a chance to complete a Wish List which they will bring home. If you decide to purchase the books for your child, you can either send them to school with payment and the Wish List or you can stop in the Book Fair (which is held in the Cafe’–the far right side of our cafeteria) to make the purchase yourself.

While you are there you can also ask to see a Wish List for your child’s classroom that each teacher has filled out. Buying a book for your child’s classroom (which will include a label with your child’s or family’s name) is a really wonderful way to support our school.
Specials teachers also fill out Wish Lists.

We hope you’ll drop in during the week!

Monday: 8 am – 3:30 pm
Tuesday: 8 am – 3:30 pm
Wednesday: 8-10 am and 2-3:30 pm
Thursday: 8-10 am and 2-3:30 pm
Friday: 8-10 am

The Clinton School library benefits greatly from the support of parent
volunteers. If you are available to work a volunteer shift in our
wonderful library, with our wonderful librarian Ms. Jennifer Latimer,
please let us know.

Mrs. Latimer is asking for a commitment of every other week or weekly,
for 2 hours if possible.

If you’d like your volunteer time to coincide with your child’s weekly
school library time, that is often a possibility.

Come to Hilton Library in April and read one-on-one to a supportive older girl.
Sign up at Hilton Library for a 15 minute slot on Tuesdays, April 20 and 27 OR Thursdays, April 22 and 29.
Program runs from 4-5pm on all four days.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in our 2009-2010 PTA Readathon. Thanks to your efforts we were able to raise $1,800, all of which will be used to purchase new books for the much loved Clinton School Library.

And congratulations to the three winners of our Readathon raffle, who won gift cards to Words Bookstore in Maplewood: kindergartener Zachary J., 1st Grader Lilly B., and 3rd grader Josh R.

The hundreds of books purchased with the proceeds from last year’s Readathon have been circulating since the autumn, and each one includes a sticker thanking Readathon participants.
