Fundraising

Clinton School has an active, successful, and creative fundraising program that contributes to the well-being of our school in a wide variety of important and wonderful ways. In the last several years, the Clinton PTA fundraising program has raised tens of thousands of dollars for items including a rock-climbing wall for our gymnasium, new curtains for our auditorium, and a brand new state-of- the-art playground for our school yard. Additionally, our fundraising efforts support our extensive cultural arts assembly program, class trips, the beautification of our school (both indoors and out), and many other goods and services needed by our students, faculty, and staff.

Our fundraising campaigns include something for everyone. We have selling programs, including the Entertainment Coupon Book Drive, the Sally Foster Holiday Catalogue, and the David’s Cookie Dough sale. We also have activity fundraisers including the Display My Art Program, which allows you to have your child’s artwork made into a variety of wonderful items.

We have ongoing programs which require no purchase, but have the ability to earn substantial funds for our school. We participate in the General Mills Box Tops for Education Program, the Campbell’s Labels for Education Program, and the Tyson Foods A+ Project. All you need to do is clip the designated labels from these products and send them to school in your child’s backpack. Don’t forget about our cell phone/ink cartridge recycling program sponsored by Funding Factory. That allows us to trade in your old cell phones and empty printer cartridges for points that we can trade for school merchandise.

We also participate in a number of “purchasing power” programs including School Pop Shop & Earn, Target Take Charge of Education, and the newly added UPromise School Program, that give Clinton a percentage of your purchases when you shop online or use your Target credit card. In addition, some of our local businesses contribute a percentage of your purchases to our school. These include Goldfinch Books, the Village Trattoria, The Goat Café and Bunny’s Restaurant.

Other popular events such as the Scholastic Book Fair, our annual Tricky Tray and Silent Auction, our Election Day Bake Sale, and our annual spring Walkathon help us support Clinton while we enjoy ourselves at the same time.

Our collective effort to support our school creates a positive environment for our children to learn and grow. Your participation, whether it’s selling, clipping box tops or labels, donating to a bake sale, or volunteering, is always greatly appreciated. Thank you for supporting our school and please feel free to contact the PTA Vice-President of Fundraising, Rosanna McCrear at rosanna.mccrear@ubs.com, who is always available to discuss suggestions and answer questions.

Please refer to the Clinton PTA Fundraising Calendar and Reference Sheet for more details about all of our fundraising programs and events throughout the year.
