Here is information about a new organization that promotes an awareness of math in the world around us.
Anyone who signs up, receives a Bedtime Math Problem of the Day which is emailed to them usually in the afternoon.
Bedtime Math aims to get kids fired up about numbers by making math come alive in their regular daily lives. We make it easy for parents to do math with their children by posting a playful word problem on our website, www.bedtimemath.org, on our Facebook page, and on our growing email list. The goal is to make math at home as common and natural as the bedtime story.
Bedtime Math is not intended to be used as a curriculum. Rather, we want parents and children to do Bedtime Math problems together at home — not as homework, but as a fun activity with no pressure or grades. Over time, we hope to make kids more comfortable and confident about their math abilities. We hope to start a movement that may someday reverse America’s slide in math and science.

Hello wonderful Clinton parents/guardians/friends,
The two most amazing Physical Education All-School Events are quickly approaching and we need YOUR HELP!
Please let us know if you would be able to help at
1. Locomania: UnderHill Field on Thursday, May 24th from 12:50-2:30

2. Field Day, which takes place on June 1st starting at 9:30 AM.
If you could join us for any bit of time at Locomania or would like to run a station at field day please let us know via email to Jordyn Freede. (If you do not want to run a station but would like to support your child’s class during the day, that would be great as well).
**** Please specify in the email which event you can lend a helping hand, and if you would like to run a station or walk around the track at Locomania with your child’s class… OR BOTH!
Thank you and we appreciate your help more than you know!

Help Build the Float!
For the fourth year in a row, Clinton is building a float for the Memorial Day Parade! Our theme this year is “Painting Our Future.” We need your help to make this project another smashing success! Our first float-building day is Sunday, May 20, from 1:00-4:00 PM, at Erica and Mike Dussman’s house, 16 Highland Avenue. There will be tasks for both children and adults, but parents must accompany their children the entire time they are working. Wear old clothes— we’re going to get messy! Please join us!
If you can’t make it this time, there will be two more float-building days:
Saturday, May 26, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM
Sunday, May 27, 10:00 AM -?
We will decorate and put finishing touches on the float. Come for an hour or come for a day. All are welcome!
Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many to expect. Email Jackie Lahey or call 973-313-9757.
March with the Clinton Float!
Please plan to march in the parade, Monday, May 29. We will assemble at the Columbia High School Student Parking Lot at 8:15 AM. Every child must be accompanied by an adult. One adult can take responsibility for more than one child, but children may NOT be dropped off alone at the point of assembly.
