This is an ongoing position throughout the school year and starts this week. The time commitment is a minimum of 3 consecutive hours every week or every other week. As a volunteer some of the many things you will do include shelving books, checking books in, helping children check books out, and making copies. We are also in need of people who can help with special projects such as repairing books. Volunteers are especially needed for the younger grades.
If you are interested, please e-mail Liz (Salituri {at} verizon.net).

In case you were wondering: Yes, your children will watch President Obama’s speech in school today.

We hope you and yours had a wonderful day today! And while the kids didn’t get much homework, we certainly did…so many forms to fill out and return!
A letter from the principal about Clinton’s inclusion classrooms was also sent home.
Thanks to everyone who signed up to be class parents and help at the book fair! If you haven’t signed up yet, please read what our PTA is all about, and join us!

Last year we began using wagons to help our youngest students transport their lunches to and from the cafeteria. For years we’d been using big Rubbermaid lunch crates, but they are unwieldy and heavy for kindergarteners and first graders.
The wagons worked wonderfully and we are now in need of a few more.
If you have a big, sturdy wagon that you are no longer using and would be willing to donate, please let us know.
Please contact Karen Betheil at kbetheil {at} verizon.net if you have a wagon you’d like to donate.
Thanks so much.
