We are delighted to announce that a new Clinton School principal was appointed at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, July 16th.
Our new principal, Patricia O’Neill, has an impressive educational career, most recently serving as a team leader at Maplewood Middle School. She has been an educator in the South Orange Maplewood School District since 1996 but her roots in the district go back much further. Ms. O’Neill is actually a 1974 graduate of Columbia High School, and was the first female class president in Columbia High School history.
The search process was expeditious yet rigorous, with more than 77 applicants interested in the position. Ms. O’Neill stood out in this crowded field for her impressive instructional leadership, her creative ideas, and her commitment to creating an educational environment in which all children can thrive.
